QUARTIERS DE FICHES NORD Lot 6, 24 logements subventionnés

Open competition

Two residential buildings in the new Fiche Nord neighbourhood are located at the extreme edge and set along the south — north pedestrian axe. The buildings position and shape aims at maximizing sights and openings towards the park, while their massive presence protects the open space network from the road noise. However, according to the general plan, both buildings are set along a mineral surface situated on the

site western edge: a path unfolding through the neighbourhood and providing pedestrian access. Building accesses are signalled by bright and translucent walls enclosing the bike parking. Meanwhile, the buildings monolithic aspect is reinforced by the fair-faced concrete bearing walls, which include cellular glass foam to obtain optimal performances in acoustic and thermal insulation. Walls are pierced by windows and loggias having diverse dimensions according to the facades orientation.
